Weekend Prayer & Devotional

Devotional Thought

The weekend might look different in a first responder family. While others rest, you may still be packing lunches, solo-parenting through shift nights, or praying for a safe return. But no matter the rhythm of your weekend, God’s promise of rest is for you.

Rest isn’t always about naps or vacations—it’s about peace in your soul, knowing God is holding every detail. Whether you get five quiet minutes or an unexpected full evening together, invite God into the space. Let Him restore your spirit.

You are seen. You are not alone. And even in the middle of the chaos, you are deeply loved.

🙏 Prayer

Dear Lord,
Thank You for this weekend. I lift up my family to You—especially my spouse on the front lines and our children growing up in this unique life. Help me to find rest in You, even if life feels full and unpredictable.
Cover our home in peace. Strengthen me to love well, serve with joy, and pause long enough to hear Your voice.
May this weekend bring moments of grace, laughter, and connection. I trust You with it all.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
